Teriyaki Chicken
| 1/3 cup soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sugar |
| 1/2 cup dry sherry |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
| 1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger |
| 1 teaspoon sesame oil |
1 frying chicken, about 3 1/2 lb cut into serving pieces |
Mix together the soy sauce, sherry, oils, sugar, garlic and ginger. Place the chicken in a large plastic food storage bag and pour in the soy mixture. Message the bag to distribute the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or all day, turning and massaging the bag occasionally.Grill over medium heat, turning frequently, 30-35 minutes. During the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush the chicken two or three times with the reserved marinade. |
